In pursuit of its ambitious growth objectives in APAC, GFT requires an Internal Communications Executive focused on developing and enhancing our internal brand and capitalising on the extensive expertise and know-how across GFT APAC (mainly focus on Vietna), in order to generate employee loyalty and engagement. The objective is to raise employee awareness and maintain a motivated workforce in the APAC region. This is a prominent and strategic role within GFT APAC. For more information, see www.gft.com

Objectives for the role

  • The primary objective is to promote GFT internal activity across the APAC region increasing visibility of local and regional wide initiatives such as promotion of APAC News channel, CSR programmes and internal events within the region.

  • You are part of the APAC HR and Operations team to increase communication, awareness and engagement from employees and support the general marketing of the region internally within GFT. Creating high quality content to support the increase of visibility of actives.

    • APAC Management Town Halls

    • Internal communication campaigns, CSR, recruitment referral schemes

    • Creation of collateral for all internal events, Year-end party

    • Announcements of regional wide announcements

    • Promotion of One GFT Culture based on GFT Core Values

      Scope of responsibilities

  • To support HR and Operations in jointly developing and executing the GFT internal communications strategy.

  • To generate internal content to be shared on APAC_NewsForYou (internal intranet page).

  • To plan, write, edit and execute regular content and news updates on activities to enhance internal brand awareness.

  • Formal Announcements

  • Progress reports on particular activities

  • Corporate News

  • General business updates (via Head of APAC Marketing)

  • To plan and execute campaigns that increase employee satisfaction based on:

    • Workplace surveys

    • Virtual suggestion boxes

    • Discussion forums

  • To work closely with HR, Operations and Marketing teams on driving and planning employer branding initiatives to attract the right talents including content development on social media sourcing channels.

  • To ensure effective and consistent use of the GFT brand, tone and grammatical style so that marketing, PR and social media are speaking with one voice.

    Competencies

  • Excellent writing skills. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees

  • Excellent verbal/speaking skills. Strong speaking skills as you are likely to be called on to give presentations to staff. Communicating with sensitivity to relay the organisation’s goals and values and the ability to clearly communicate them to employees

  • Interpersonal skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with communications and HR departments. With the confidence to deal with senior executives and explain communication techniques to them

  • A proven understanding of Modern Marketing concepts in IT

  • Ability to manage complex workloads / priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Detailed understanding and experience of digital communications / media (ideally)

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office products (especially latest versions of PowerPoint, Excel and Word)

  • Ability to solve problems alone, having determination and drive to achieve the best results and never give up

  • Teamwork oriented

  • Excellent English skills are a must.

    Profile

  • This would be an ideal role for an aspiring executive with several years of experience in Marketing or in Internal Communication role, ideally within the financial services sector who is now looking for greater responsibility

  • Sound professional experience in the planning, conception and implementation of marketing and internal communication campaigns

  • Assertiveness, communication skills and decision-making ability

  • Independent, goal and solution-oriented work
