Senior DevOps Engineer

At GFT we have an open position for a Senior DevOps Engineer. It's important to have experience with some cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and technologies like Terraform, Jenkins, Docker or Kubernetes. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person interested in working in a new project with an international bank establishing a new Hub in Barcelona. Are you a pioneer?
 
Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Standardize, automate and document setup of development, testing and production environments.
• Design and drive improvements to the full SDLC process applying best practices.
• Maintain rapid deployment pipelines, CD infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Actively participate in high level team activities such as architecture improvements, process improvements, etc.
• Responsible for ensuring service-level agreement requirements are met.

 
 Skills will help you to succeed: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineer or related field.
• At least B2 level of English, written and spoken.
• Expert using CIS such as Jenkins or Team City.
• Experience with Test automatión (Behavior Driven Development and Functional Testing).
• Experience with both coding and infrastructure.
• Experience working in Agile projects applying methodologies such as Scrum.
• Experience in developing the branching strategy, automation strategies and test plans.
• Expert Knowledge in Infrastructure Automation tools such as Docker, Vagrant or Chef.
• Experience with Cloud application design, management and monitoring.

Tech Skills: 

• Automation: Experience of automating software delivery processes using tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or other similar automation tools.
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): A DevOps engineer should be proficient in setting up, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines that automate the software delivery process. Skills in GitLab would be adventagous
• Cloud Computing: Should be proficient in using cloud computing platforms like Microsoft Azure,  Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to deploy and manage applications.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Should be familiar with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, or Ansible to automate the process of deploying and managing infrastructure.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Experience of working with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, AKS  to deploy and manage applications.
• Monitoring and Logging: A DevOps engineer should be proficient in setting up monitoring and logging systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Elasticsearch to ensure the health and performance of applications.
• Scripting: A DevOps engineer should be proficient in at least one scripting language like Powershell or Bash to automate tasks and write custom scripts to support the software delivery process.

 Soft skills: 

• Understanding of link between technical specialties and customer requirements.
• Understanding of industry best practices and standards.
• Fluent communication skills.
• Team player: ability to work with teams distributed geographically in different locations.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills/investigating skills on technical matters.
• Well organised.
• Ability to identify problems and suggest mitigating and contingency actions.
