What are we looking for?

We are looking for an Azure Cloud Operations & Application Support Specialist  with solid hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure to support the maintenance, stability and continuous improvement of a complex cloud infrastructure within the financial services sector.

The role combines strong technical expertise in cloud operations, troubleshooting and automation with a consultancy-oriented approach. You will act as a bridge between Cloud technical teams and business application owners, helping investigate issues, coordinate their resolution and ensure the stability and efficiency of the Azure environment.

Your main responsibilities

• Monitor Microsoft Azure environments, analyse alerts and perform incident triage, distinguishing false positives from critical infrastructure issues requiring immediate action.
• Manage alerts and operational tasks using Atlassian tools.
• Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues related to Azure infrastructure and connectivity, including:
  • Public and Private Endpoints
  • API Management
  • Application Gateway
  • Storage Accounts
• Manage identity and access lifecycle activities, including the rotation of expiring secrets in App Registrations and certificates in Enterprise Applications.
• Support the provisioning and configuration of new cloud environments, including subscriptions, resources and repositories.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible, following automation, reusability and version control best practices.
• Monitor Azure subscription budgets, identify potential overruns and coordinate with the relevant Cloud teams when budget limits need to be reviewed.
• Collaborate with Cloud, architecture, development and application teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure operational stability.
• Maintain technical documentation, including specific corner cases and new alert-handling procedures.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud automation, deployment and operational processes.

Required Skills

• Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure operations, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of Azure services and concepts related to:
  • App Registrations and Enterprise Applications, Networking and connectivity, Public and Private Endpoints, API Management, Application Gateway, Storage Accounts, Azure subscriptions and resource management
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Practical experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Good understanding of automation, scripting and DevOps concepts.
• Experience with incident management and tracking tools, preferably Atlassian/Jira.
• High level of English, as you will work in an international environment.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Azure Identity and Access Management.
• Experience with SSO configuration and certificate and secret management.
• Knowledge of cloud governance and cost management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and pipelines.
• Experience provisioning and configuring new cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud architecture and security best practices.
