Location: Tampa – Florida – hybrid (3 times per week onsite)

If Contract - Duration: 1 Year
Daily Rate: $ 1100
GFT is looking for a Sr. Mainframe Architect who is an organized professional with excellent communication skills and senior level experience. This individual will support a banking industry global leader systems modernization project. As a GFT team member you will be part of a high performing team of executives within a 10,000+ and growing, global organization developing and implementing technology solutions for its clients and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Cooperates closely with core Mainframe customer team;
- Assesses how the current legacy systems are working, what are the key functionalities, inefficiencies, other systems dependencies or code which could be removed during modernization phase;
- Documents findings;
- Reviews technical documentation available, defining architecture and solution design;
- Plans further modernizations;
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 10+ years of similar professional experience;
- Minimum 5+ years of banking industry experience;
- Extensive Mainframe (COBOL) experience;
- Strong Java experience;
- Strong financial banking systems, architectural/solution design experience;
- Outstanding communication skills, highly organized and cooperative;
