Hybrid Position to Work from Boston

The new GFT Senior Technical Business Analyst will be expected to develop the following activities: 

Responsibilities:

•          Manages Operations Support, Product Development / Enhancement, Integration Management and Product Upgrade;

•          Manages Requirements gathering from business and operations departments;

•          Interacts with internal and external stakeholders conducting the full cycle from a BA perspective;

•          Deploys Post Validation to evaluate the Product maturity;

•          Implements the Technology and if needed communicates with external software vendor;

•          Post Development, implementation support and/or hand-over to Global Support Team;

•          Performs Production Support – finds the answer to Operational Questions;

•          Optimizes the product by tuning the Application and DB;

•          Drive, design and implement with solutions with Sign-off from Operations.

•          Understands the new regulatory and Business needs to come up with innovative solutions with little strain to operations;

•          Modernizes the System and Architecture with the available resources;

•          Integrates with home grown and external Apps and services.

Requirements/Skills:

•          Minimum 8 years of experience

•          Strong SQL skills – Will need to perform enhancements on the current coding (will not need to code from scratch)

•          3 - 5 years of buy side industry experience, preferably in fixed income, research management or other front office applications

•          Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

•          Good written and oral communication skills, and solid organizational skills are required

•          Background knowledge in programming or data management

•          Background with Microsoft SQL Server and Transact SQL are a plus
