Desarollador Cobol

Tus principales responsabilidades a desarrollar:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL programs in the mainframe environment
• Support batch and online processing (CICS/JCL)
• Analyze business and technical requirements from HSBC stakeholders
• Perform impact analysis and code remediation
• roubleshoot production incidents and provide L3 support
• Optimize performance of existing mainframe applications
• Ensure compliance with HSBC development and security standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, BA, Infrastructure, DevOps)
• Support testing cycles (SIT, UAT, Regression)
• Maintain technical documentation and version control
  
  
  Must have:
  
  · Strong experience in COBOL development
  · Solid knowledge of JCL
  · Experience with CICS (online transaction processing)
  · Experience with DB2 or IMS databases
  · Familiarity with mainframe change management tools (Endevor, Changeman, or similar)
  · Knowledge of batch processing and scheduling
  · Production support experience

   Education & Experience
  · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  · Typically 5+ years of experience in mainframe COBOL development
  · Experience in large banking environments preferred

Requisitos mandatorios:

Nice to have:
· Experience in banking or financial services
· Exposure to HSBC processes or standards
· Knowledge of z/OS environment
· Basic understanding of APIs or legacy modernization initiatives
· Agile/Scrum experience
Language Requirement Advanced English (B2+/C1) required — must be able to participate actively in meetings with global teams and produce clear technical documentation in English.
