Role Summary 

We are looking for a quality engineering technologist to join the GFT team and help build out our rapidly expanding Cloud business. This position will be based in London but limited international travel may be required. The potential and variety of the work that GFT is supporting our clients with is truly mind-blowing.

 

Key Capabilities

  • Understanding of the interaction of alternate technologies with incumbent technology (looking for industry / technology awareness)
  • Ability to manage complex technical deliverables to meet program requirements. Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
  • Understanding project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases.
  • Help lead the implementation of a shift left program into the various clients application development teams.
  • Setting up, maintaining, and performing test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms, such as Mobile, Desktop, and Web, and building test scenarios and acceptance tests.
  • Investigating customer problems referred to you by the technical support team, testing bugs, and creating and managing bug reports.
  • Handling technical communications and understanding the customers' systems.
  • Working with deployments teams, resolving level issues for systems, coordinating on product design, and offering inputs on the testability of functional elements and product designs.
  • Analyzing and disintegrating software systems and coordinating with other teams to enhance the overall design.
  • Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.
  • Managing the final quality on production release.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Defining the test strategy & plan for a portfolio off applications
  • Define test automation strategies and provisioning of automation tooling.
  • Ownership of test plan, report on progress & manage the defect triage calls.
  • Lead testing efforts.
  • Manage parallel testing teams.
  • Ensure adequate test environments.
  • Manage upstream & downstream system testing dependencies.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent designing and programming skills
  • Knowledge of devops and related tooling ( e.g Azure DevOps, Terraform, Octopus Deploy).
  • Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools.
  • Knowldege of E2E and Performance testing methodologies
  • Exposure to Behaviour Driven Development and experience in programming and testing.
  • The ability to recognize risks and errors in an application.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • The ability to keep current with the constantly changing technology industry.
  • A passion for testing, development, and design.
  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to solve complex, multi-system problems.
  • Have experience in stakeholder management within complex organisations.
  • Be comfortable with being responsible for the delivery of significant cloud and automation projects
  • Be a fast learner, ambitious, and comfortable working in high-pressure environments.
