Role Summary  

 

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Programme Manager to join our Retail Banking division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in setting up banks and delivering end-to-end banking solutions, testing and migration to the cloud, and establishing cloud IT banking operations.

 

Role Responsibilities 


•    Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple, complex, and large-scale programmes within the Retail Banking division
•    Ensure alignment of programme objectives with the overall business strategy and objectives
•    Manage stakeholder relationships and engage with senior executives to secure buy-in and support for the programmes
•    Develop and implement governance processes, standards, and methodologies to ensure effective programme management and delivery
•    Oversee the work of cross-functional teams, including IT, business operations, and external partners, to ensure successful programme delivery
•    Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate them
•    Ensure timely and effective communication with all stakeholders, including status updates and progress reports
•    Manage the budget and resource allocation for the programmes to ensure optimal use of resources
•    Manage and co-ordinate GFT and client stakeholders and resources to effect a successful outcome for the client 
•    Produce, maintain and evolve project charter, coordinate project plans, resource plans, and related project management, ensuring all requirements and objectives are met
•    Lead detailed plans to deliver project objectives, engaging with partners and critically assessing requirements
•    Ensure that risks, issues, and dependencies are clearly identified, managed and mitigated to minimise impacts on the organisation and our customers
•    Provide clear, accurate, timely and actionable information that allows technology and business partners to understand delivery status, progress and performance
•    Partner with Business and Technology stakeholders to align on delivery and ensure business value is achieved based on the corporate strategy
•    Ensure that there is high visibility and transparency of programme portfolio health to enable senior management to make informed decisions
•    Deliver compliant solutions following best practice, standards and regulations

 

Required Experience


Technical Skills:
•    Proven experience as a Programme Manager in the retail banking industry
•    Strong knowledge and experience in delivering end-to-end banking solutions, testing and migration to the cloud, and setting up cloud IT banking operations
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Experience with project and programme management methodologies, such as Agile, Prince2, or PMP

At GFT we offer a flexible hybrid working environment. The majority of our roles are determined by client requirements, but the expectation is that you will be required on client site 1 or 2 days a week (this may vary depending on client requirements and could go up or down).
