Job Description:

 

As a Cloud Security Engineer you will be responsible for developing, integrating and secure configuration of Google Cloud services and assets for GFT customers.

You will advise to GFT customers in implementing security controls and help the stakeholders in any affair concerning cloud security. You will be responsible for writing code or delivering peer reviews to establish cloud infrastructure, services, environments and solutions (Infrastructure-as-code).

As a security engineer, you will work on preparing hardened configuration and its documentation. Moreover, for this position we need a passionate person who will be keen to keep updated on the latest security threats and cloud technologies.

Equally to the above responsibilities, you will take part in building internal Google Cloud security knowledge base. You will participate in advising on early-stage sale opportunities and provide technical guidance on where GFT offering should follow in mid- and long-term.

 

 

Main job tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Development (Infrastructure-as-code) of Google Cloud environments, services, resources for the customers from financial (especially banking) sector
  • Designing, developing, testing, deploying and enhancing cloud assets and services at the angle of cybersecurity
  • Implementing Google Cloud security controls to introduce: authentication, authorization, accounting, confidentiality (encryption at-rest / in-use / in-transit), integrity, availability
  • Designing cloud-based solutions’ infrastructure and applications
  • Providing technical advisory to the customers to follow best cloud security practices
  • Researching for latest cloud security threats, analysing the current situation and providing feedback for internal cloud security knowledge base

 

 

Education and Skills:

 

  • Knowledge of principles of ICT Security domains and their best practices
  • Deep architectural knowledge on Google Cloud services and integration patterns
  • Hand-on experience with SDLC tools and development pipeline tools
  • Hands-on experience with solutions intended for Infrastructure as Code (IaC, Terraform preferred) and with cloud shells allowing to manage cloud-based resources and services
  • Hybrid/multi-cloud integrations’ knowledge highly appreciated
  • Knowledge of IT security frameworks is highly appreciated (ISO2700x, CIS Benchmarks)
  • A Bachelor in Computer Science or similar
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT and 2 years in IT security is required
  • Good English written/verbal communication skills
  • Being familiar with the basic security concepts: CIA, least privileges, defence-in-depth, separation of duties, encryption/electronic signature
  • Completed certification path is of great advantage: Professional Cloud Security Engineer (PCSE) & Professional Cloud Network Engineer (PCNE)
  • Good presentation skills to provide supportive information to non-technical audience
  • Ability to work autonomously and to lead tasks assigned from the beginning to the end
  • Good team skills, open for other cultures
