We are looking for a candidate to join the GFT APAC team and help build our rapidly expanding business while striving to create world-class digital banking and blockchain solutions with our clients and partners. This position is based in Mumbai, India with international travel likely a requirement.

We are seeking a Technical Consultant with superior technical proficiency and a strong problem-solving aptitude. Your ability to analyse and resolve technical issues efficiently will provide valuable support to our clients. Additionally, your expertise in identifying innovative solutions and the ability to hold a low-level in-depth technical conversation with the customer will be considered a benefit.

As a Technical Consultant, it is crucial that you possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the field. Your customer-oriented approach will ensure that you understand and address the unique requirements of each client. Effective communication skills, particularly in presentations, will be vital to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.

You will work with industry-leading technology and business experts in the banking, as well as development teams who are well versed in all matters related to agile methodologies and frameworks, technology delivery and the engineering of exceptional software solutions. Daily, you’ll collaborate with colleagues and clients. 
 

Role Responsibilities:

• Actively work with and manage a wide range of business and technology stakeholders to ensure the legendary delivery quality

• Serve as the first contact point for any project dependencies, scope changes, schedule, risks and issues

• Serve as a first point of contact for all project-related technical escalations and seek input and assistance from appropriate channels

• Work closely with the business and technical stakeholders and functional & technical leads to gather feedbacks and input from the customer and seek right channels to help solve the problem with the off-shore team

• Validate and map Business Requirements into Technical Solution Concepts and Designs

• Writing documentation

• Undertake solution design throughout the project lifecycle

• Work with the internal stakeholders to establish and maintain a productive relationship

• Producing high-quality, properly functioning deliverables on time and on budget

• Providing technical guidance to the customer on site

• Operate and lead-from-the-front in a consultative fashion to drive technical discussions and decisions and help implement technology solutions to production environments

• Ensure rigid oversight and own the technical solution (design, scope and deliverables)

• Continuously work closely with the development teams, clients, and partners to achieve project success

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience working as a Technical Consultant in the banking or FinTech sectors; strong exposure to Finance domains in banking is advantageous

• Experience in a consultative technical Architect role

• Strong customer facing skills

• Ability to understand customer requirements and business objectives

• Ability to gain credibility and build relationships with all levels in an organization, from technical experts to senior executives

• Expertise in engaging with business, skilled in solutions and technology consulting, business case development, reviewing business processes in conjunction with technical processes, doing critical review of high-level business requirements

• Capability to provide simple and clear messages to Senior Leadership Business Partners, and Project Management; and guide them in decision making

• Provide guidance and direction to the architecture and engineering teams throughout the software lifecycle 

• Experience in architectural aspects, components for applications related to Web technologies, Mobile technologies, Integration technologies and APIs. Ensuring a good quality solution, implemented as per the architecture defined framework to the architecture governance

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly

• Skills in Microservices Architecture, Event-driven Architecture, Java, Spring boot, Kafka 

• Track record of thought leadership around diverse technologies like Core banking, Payments, Risk management, Cloud, Security, Database

• Ability to manage IT initiatives and collaborate with in-house technical staff on ad hoc items

• Ability to work with remote delivery teams
