Role Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Credit Risk Team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines for credit risk-related projects. They must have experience working with Airflow, AWS, and Kubernetes, which are all critical components of our data engineering infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the Credit Risk Team to understand their data engineering requirements and design scalable data pipelines.
- Build and maintain ETL workflows using Airflow to ensure efficient and reliable Credit Risk reporting.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy by implementing data validation and monitoring processes within key Credit Risk pipelines
- Develop and maintain data models to support the Credit Risk Team's analytical and reporting needs
- Deploy and manage data infrastructure on AWS using Kubernetes
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to data engineering and credit risk.
Required Education & Experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in the financial services industry with a focus on credit risk
- Strong experience with Python, Pandas, PySpark, in Airflow and building ETL workflows
- Ideal candidate has strong experience with AWS, including S3, IAM, and Athena
- Experience with running containerised workloads on Kubernetes
- Worked in an Agile environment with continuous delivery
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and BI concepts
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
