Role Overview 

We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong experience in digital banking product design and delivery. In this role, you will lead business analysis initiatives, working closely with Product Owners, Designers, and Engineers to define and deliver banking solutions. You will act as a key bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment across product backlogs, functional scope, and regulatory compliance – particularly in the APAC market. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Drive backlog management, refinement, and prioritization across multiple product streams. 

  • Prepare detailed and validated user stories aligned with business requirements and team capabilities. 

  • Participate in feature validation, estimation, and scoping with technical teams and stakeholders. 

  • Contribute to release planning activities, ensure completeness of acceptance criteria and readiness for release sign-offs. 

  • Facilitate desk checks and story walk-throughs with developers, QA, and designers. 

  • Lead cross-squad discussions to ensure consistency in product features, integrations, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Support conflict resolution, decision-making, and alignment across delivery teams without coercion. 

  • Ensure alignment with organizational standards, documentation, and compliance processes. 

  • Promote Agile best practices, continuous improvement, and servant leadership principles across the team. 

 

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (MBA preferred). 

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a digital banking or financial services environment 

  • Strong domain knowledge in retail banking products, including Loans, Credit Cards, Savings, Multi-Currency, and Current Accounts. 

  • Proven experience designing and documenting banking product features and workflows. 

  • Understanding of regulatory compliance in APAC for banking products. 

  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, and tools like MS Project or Trello for tracking and collaboration. 

  • Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and frameworks – including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives. 

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Able to translate complex business needs into actionable product features and documentation. 

  • Familiarity with technical concepts and architectures relevant to product implementation. 

 

Nice to Have 

  • Background in digital banking transformation, fintech, or core banking system migration. 

  • Experience working with engineering teams on Thought Machine, Temenos, Finastra, or similar platforms. 

  • Knowledge of project management best practices, servant leadership, and stakeholder engagement frameworks. 

  • Ability to support product roadmap discussions and business case development.
