Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Android Technical Leader to lead and drive the architecture, design, and delivery of innovative mobile banking applications for some of the world’s top-tier financial institutions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping Android strategy and best practices, mentoring developers, and ensuring robust and scalable solutions aligned with business and technical objectives.
This role requires deep expertise in Android development, Kotlin, architectural patterns, and a strategic mindset to drive mobile innovation across teams and projects.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Define, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable mobile architecture for Android applications
• Technical Direction: Establish coding standards, performance benchmarks, and quality guidelines for Android teams
• Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals
• Mentorship: Lead and mentor Android engineers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance
• Innovation: Evaluate and introduce new tools, libraries, and frameworks to enhance development efficiency
• Performance & Quality: Oversee code quality, performance optimization, and application robustness, including edge cases and testing strategies
• Solution Ownership: Guide the full software development lifecycle, from concept through deployment and support

 
Required Skills

• Minimum 8+ years of Android development experience, with at least 2+ years in an Architecture or Lead capacity
• Expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, and modern Android frameworks
• Strong knowledge of architectural patterns: MVVM, Clean Architecture, OOP
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, and dependency injection frameworks
• Proficiency in Unit Testing, debugging, and profiling tools
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and managing data from remote sources
• Proven ability to design scalable mobile systems and guide complex projects end-to-end
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

 
Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with JIRA or other project management tools
• Experience with CI/CD, Gradle, and static code quality analytics
• Knowledge of automated UI testing frameworks
• Expertise in Material Design customizations, animations, and accessibility
