Job Description:

About the role:

A Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is a professional who combines the skills of software development and software testing to ensure the quality of software products. SDETs are involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment.

A day in this role:

• Test Automation: Writing and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure software functionality and performance.
• Manual Testing: Performing exploratory testing to find bugs and verify that the software meets requirements.
• Test Plan Development: Creating detailed test plans and test cases based on software requirements and design documents.
• Bug Tracking and Reporting: Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs to resolution.
• Continuous Integration: Integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous quality.
• Performance Testing: Assessing the performance and scalability of the software.
• Collaboration: Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.

The expertise requested:

• QA test automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress)
• Deep understanding of programming languages such as JavaScript, Java
• Ability to construct complex SQL queries.
• Expert in API testing.
• Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodologies.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience in Azure DevOps pipelines is a plus.
