Job Description:

About the role:

Opportunity to design and implement a global, real-time interactive trading system for the interdealer marketplace. The platform will be 100% deployed in AWS, accessed via the internet and designed on a core sequencer trading architecture. The platform is a 100% ground up replacement of an existing vendor platform.

A day in this role:

• Collaborate with product management and development to design and architect a low-latency trading platform for interest rate derivatives
• Design and develop matching engine, order routing and credit calculation components in zero-GC Java
• Create and implement test automation covering all functionality, performance and stability
• Triage critical production issues and provide rapid response during trading system incidents as part of the level 3 response team

The expertise requested:

• 7+ years developing production software in Java
• 2+ years developing low-latency, zero garbage collection systems in Java.
• 2+ years developing and deploying native cloud applications in AWS.
• 3+ years developing real time execution systems for electronic trading covering one or more of the following asset classes: equities, FX, options, or fixed income.
• 2+ years working as a software engineer in a start-up environment
• Design and develop efficient, defect-free code under tight time constraints
• Exceptional analysis and triage of real-time production systems
• Clear, concise and accurate written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit; thrive in a high-pressure environment.
