Job Description:

About the role:

Hands on implementation and operation security architecture for an electronic trading venue regulated in the US by the CFTC and in Europe by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI)

A day in this role:

• Operate the firm’s trading platform in AWS
• Design and implement pipeline automation to support a full CI/CD lifecycle.
• Identify operational issues, triage outages and restore services as required
• Run incident management and manage communications to internal staff and external clients
• Design and develop monitoring and support tools
• Day to day leadership of the production support team (2-3 staff)

The expertise requested:

• 5+ years operating electronic trading platforms in the capital markets industry
• 2+ years operating platforms in AWS
• Fixed income / Interest rate derivatives products – covering 1 or more of the following areas: pricing, trading, risk management, clearing and settling
• Equities, Options or FX electronic trading
• 2+ years as a lead engineer of a production support team
• Exceptional analysis and triage of real-time production systems
• Able to operate effectively as part of a high-pressure electronic trading desk
• Fast-paced communications – written and verbal
• Technical skills: Network engineering, system administration, database administration
• Scripting skills: Python, AWS CloudFormation or equivalent
