The role and Responsibilities:


The Business Analyst will be the person who bridges the gap between IT and the business and therefore having excellent communication skills, good technical expertise combined with a drive to deliver beyond expectations is paramount to the success of this role.  Specific requirements for this role include but are not limited to:


  • Working with both, global internal teams as well as with end-clients on implementations and upgrades of financial General Ledger
  • Developing end-user documentation


Resolves team impediments with cross-functional teams and escalates as required to project leadership to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.


  • Assisting clients with UAT
  • Being conversant on implementation best practices
  • Implementing best practices
  • Participating in production deployments
  • Assist clients with data transformation
  • Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to the Leads, Scrum Master,  Product Owner, Sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
  • Responds proactively to both business and project issues and escalates appropriately.
  • Responsible for product quality, project timeliness, and customer satisfaction.



Manages the product backlog with the Product Owner and different leaders to prioritize requirements, as well as define/manage the scope and sprints for the project. 


Skills Required:


  • Experience with reporting tools as a BA (SSRS, Crystal Reports, etc.) 
  • Experience with ticket tracking systems    
  • Experience with providing L2/L3 support
  • Experience with software troubleshooting
  • Ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications (i.e. design the functionality of a system)            
  • Experience developing requirements and functional specifications to a high standard     
  • Experience working with a mixed team of business and technical professionals          
  • Experience working effectively with business users to identify required changes    
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills. 
  • Knowledge of agile frameworks (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), and understanding of software development life cycle models along with in-depth knowledge of Agile development principles and practices. 
  • Experience working with both onshore and offshore teams. 
  • Experience in dealing with multiple projects and cross-functional teams, and ability to coordinate across teams in a large matrix organization environment. 
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills as well as creative problem-solving skills.  Possesses the ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions. 
  • Excellent documentation skills. Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and act on it. 
  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail and a penchant for process improvement. Highly self-motivated and directed. 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure. 
  • Ability to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. 
  • Demonstrated ability in applying repeatable quality assurance processes and methods to enterprise-wide technology projects or initiatives. 
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
