Since 10 years ago from Costa Rica we managed North-American clients from Financial, Industry and Insurance fields.

We are looking for a passionate Appian Developer with a minimum of 3 years of work experience building and supporting applications using Appian. As an Appian Developer, responsibilities include gathering user requirements, creating architectural designs for lightly coupled suites of applications to individual features in an autonomous way. Your team will tackle a variety of problems by leveraging innovative technologies to change the Alternative Asset Management industry, devising elegant solutions to important business and technical problems and putting your own best ideas to work in an entrepreneurial environment.

A Day in this Role:

• Engage and learn about complex business rules related to financial areas as: Capital Markets, Private Equity and Asset Management.
• Fully involve on end to end technical design, development, stabilization and enhancement of Appian applications.
• Create data model designs, SQL Queries and/or Stored Procedures.
• Lead and participate in technical and operations reviews to learn from and share knowledge with your teammates.
• Organize and track progress and maintain documentation using Jira and Confluence.
• Build and share reusable components, and migrating legacy services\workflows to Appian.
• Eager to identify areas of improvement in the existent systems and feel empowered to proposed and implement creative solutions.
• Identity performance bottlenecks.
• Interact constantly and dynamically with BAs, QAs and other peers to evaluate user requests for business process automation using models to determine feasibility and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with the local Unit team initiatives.

The Expertise Requested:

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
• At least 3 years of Appian configuration and development demonstrated work experience.
• Proficient with Design, Development, Architecture, Implementation and Support on end to end business applications with Appian BPM platform.
• Appian certification will be preferred
  • Appian Level 1 certification with preference given to those who hold Level 2 and/or Level 3 certifications.
• Experience working on Appian Objects such as Process Models, Records, Reports, Rules, SAIL, Security, and Web APIs.
• Proficient with SQL, User Interfaces and interaction with relational databases.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipeline tools like TeamCity and Jenkins.
• Familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment.
• Knowledge on Agile methodologies.
• Experience in automated unit, integration and end-end testing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to explain complex methodologies and results to the technical team.
• Utilize excellent problem solving skills with the ability to handle and address complexity under pressure, being a team player.
• Have ability to drive projects from inception to completion independently and overcome challenges along the way.
• Possess a self-starting, entrepreneurial attitude and proactively seeks feedback.

Desired or Nice to Have Expertise:

• Knowledge on distributed environments (micro services, AWS, dockers)
• Experience in Banking or Finance Domain
• Experience in working on JIRA and Confluence
