Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Mobile Developer with expertise in both Android and iOS platforms to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality mobile applications for some of the world's largest financial institutions. This role demands advanced technical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional leadership capabilities. Familiarity with project management tools, cross-platform development frameworks, CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud technologies is highly advantageous.

 

Key Activities

  • Leadership & Mentoring: Provide strategic technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, fostering an environment of continuous learning, innovation, and improvement. Champion best practices in mobile development.
  • Advanced Mobile Development: Architect, design, build, and maintain advanced applications for both Android and iOS platforms, ensuring the highest level of performance, security, and user experience. Develop and enforce coding standards and practices.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior designers, product managers, and other developers, to define, design, and implement innovative features that enhance user experience and meet business objectives.
  • Integration & Architecture: Lead and oversee efforts to integrate with external data sources and APIs, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure application architecture. Drive architectural decisions and strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and oversee comprehensive unit testing and automated testing protocols to ensure code robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. Implement and monitor code quality metrics.
  • Innovation: Continuously research, evaluate, and implement new technologies and methodologies to optimize development efficiency and application performance. Drive the adoption of new tools and practices that enhance team productivity.
  • Performance Tuning: Diagnose complex performance issues, fix critical bugs, and continuously improve application performance. Develop strategies to ensure high availability and responsiveness of mobile applications.
  • Project Management: Utilize advanced project management tools to efficiently manage tasks, timelines, and deliverables. Provide accurate project estimates and ensure timely delivery of high-quality mobile solutions.

Required Skills

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in mobile development, with a significant focus on both Android and iOS platforms. Proven track record of delivering high-impact mobile applications for large-scale projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in software development with extensive knowledge of Java/Kotlin for Android and Objective-C/Swift for iOS. Advanced understanding of mobile design patterns, user experience principles, and security best practices.
  • Banking Knowledge: Solid understanding of banking industry standards, regulations, and requirements. Experience in developing applications for financial institutions is essential.
  • Advanced Skills: Mastery of cross-platform frameworks like Flutter or React Native, Dependency Injection (DI), MVVM architecture, Unit Testing, RESTful APIs, Git, and Figma. Proficiency in advanced topics such as memory management, threading, and performance optimization.
  • Full Lifecycle Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the full mobile development life cycle, including experience working with remote data via RESTful APIs and JSON. Ability to oversee all stages of development, from concept to deployment and maintenance.
  • Version Control: Advanced proficiency with Git version control system, including branching strategies and release management.
  • Communication: Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with English-speaking clients and senior team members. Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Project Management Tools: Advanced proficiency in JIRA or similar project management tools. Experience in leading large, cross-functional project teams.
  • CI/CD: Extensive experience in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) using tools like Jenkins or fastlane. Ability to set up and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automated Testing: Expertise in automated UI testing and test-driven development (TDD). Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, and XCTest.
  • Cloud Technologies: Deep experience with cloud services and technologies, including deployment and scaling of mobile applications in cloud environments. Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
