What are we looking for?
GFT Technologies is an AI-centric global digital transformation company. We design advanced data and AI business transformation solutions, modernize technology architectures and develop next-generation core systems for industry leaders in Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing and Robotics. Partnering closely with our clients, we push boundaries to unlock their full potential.
GFT's AI Governance Practice has built a proprietary AI Governance Operating System, combining a structured governance methodology with an automation platform and a suite of agentic compliance accelerators, that we are actively delivering to regulated industry clients across financial services, insurance, energy, defence, and retail.
You will work directly alongside the AI Governance Practice Lead to deliver and further develop the offering. This is a hybrid technical-regulatory role, with client-facing responsibilities: you will design and lead the development of agentic automation accelerators, work hands-on with engineering and data science teams on technically complex governance problems, such as monitoring and oversight of agentic AI systems, and deliver structured, high-quality work to clients; and at the same time, read a regulation, extract its obligations, and turn them into implementable technical requirements. If you want to be at the frontier of AI governance and actually build it, this is the role for you.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Delivery
- Support the implementation of GFT's proprietary AI governance framework at client organisations, across both strategic (operating model) and technical (platform) dimensions
- Assess AI governance maturity, define governance architecture, and configure the automation platform to client context
- Produce and validate governance artefacts (risk assessments, impact assessments, policy documentation, compliance registers, and audit evidence packages) and ensure they are operationalised: embedded into workflows, enforced through platform controls, and maintained as living instruments rather than point-in-time documents
Framework & Product Development
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement of the proprietary governance methodology and its underlying tooling
- Design and lead the development of agentic automation accelerators that industrialise key governance processes
- Maintain and improve the internal documentation, toolkits, and knowledge assets that underpin delivery quality and scalability
What we are looking for:
Experience & skills:
- 5+ years of experience in technical AI/ML roles, as an ML engineer, data scientist, model validator, AI architect, or similar, with demonstrated exposure to governance, risk, compliance, or regulatory work in the latter part of that trajectory.
- Hands-on experience building, evaluating, deploying, and monitoring AI/ML/agentic systems.
- Exposure to model risk, AI observability, monitoring tooling, or policy-as-code concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud-based AI environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Solid, working knowledge of the EU AI Act: the ability to map regulatory obligations to operational requirements and technical controls, not just awareness of the regulation.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 42001:2023, including its risk management, documentation, and lifecycle governance requirements.
- Your solid technical foundation in AI/ML/agentic systems is strong enough to lead engineering and data science teams, speak their language, and earn their trust. You can translate functional and regulatory requirements into precise technical terms that engineering teams can act on. In practice: you translate governance requirements into technical specifications, provide the guidelines needed to automate policy enforcement and compliance controls, and act as the bridge between regulatory obligation and technical implementation.
- Proven experience in client-facing consulting environments, managing stakeholder relationships, structuring deliverables, and communicating complex technical and regulatory concepts clearly to business and executive audiences.
- Strong written communication: you produce clear technical documentation, executive-ready summaries, and client-facing documents that are clear, precise, and professionally credible.
- Comfortable facilitating collaborative sessions, challenging constructively, and driving remediation.
- Able to operate with autonomy, building structure from ambiguity.
- Objective, pragmatic, and detail-oriented.
Valued:
- Experience in technical AI governance, responsible AI, or AI risk management, ideally within or advising regulated industries.
- Familiarity with additional AI governance standards, responsible AI frameworks, and AI risk frameworks (NIST AI RMF, OECD AI Principles, DORA...).
- Familiarity with enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) best practices.
- ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer certification, or active pursuit of it.
Languages:
- Fluent professional level of Spanish and English (mandatory).
Soft Skills:
You believe governance is not a compliance exercise, but the mechanism through which AI is developed and deployed responsibly. That distinction matters to you, and it shows the way you work. You think in frameworks, but you are not rigid. You are as comfortable in a technical design session as you are navigating functional and business complexity, and you move naturally between both. You care about building things that actually work, not just documents that satisfy an audit, and you bring that conviction into every engagement. You are comfortable with ambiguity, you prioritise effectively, and you do not need to be told what the next problem is.
