Role Summary 

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst (MI & Reporting) to support the Data & Analytics function of one of Asia’s leading digital banks. The role is responsible for developing and automating management information dashboards and reports using data from multiple sources. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements, develop meaningful KPIs, and deliver accurate and timely insights. The ideal candidate has strong SQL and data analysis skills, hands-on experience with Amazon Athena and Amazon QuickSight, and the ability to independently manage reporting requirements from initial discussion through to delivery. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, and maintain management information dashboards and reports using Amazon QuickSight 

  • Use SQL and Amazon Athena to extract, query, join, and analyse data from multiple sources 

  • Translate business requirements into meaningful KPIs, dashboards, and reporting solutions 

  • Consolidate structured and semi-structured data from databases, data lakes, files, APIs, and other internal systems 

  • Automate recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reporting processes 

  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy 

  • Analyse data to identify trends, exceptions, and actionable business insights 

  • Investigate discrepancies and work with Data Engineering and source-system teams to address data issues 

  • Optimise SQL queries, datasets, and dashboard performance 

  • Maintain clear documentation covering data sources, KPI definitions, business rules, and reporting logic 

  • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests from business and management stakeholders 

  • Promote consistent definitions and reporting standards across different dashboards and business functions 

 

Required Skills and Experience 

  • At least 5 years of experience in Management Information, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Reporting roles 

  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, including complex joins, aggregations, subqueries, and query optimisation 

  • Strong practical experience with Amazon Athena 

  • Proven experience designing and developing dashboards using Amazon QuickSight 

  • Experience integrating and analysing data from multiple sources and formats 

  • Good understanding of data modelling, KPI design, and reporting principles 

  • Experience automating recurring dashboards and reporting processes 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to data accuracy 

  • Ability to gather requirements and communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders 

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of deliverables 

  • Experience working in a cloud-based data environment, preferably AWS 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry 

  • Familiarity with AWS data services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, and Redshift 

  • Experience working with data lakes or cloud data warehouses 

  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata, and lineage principles 

  • Experience with Tableau 

  • Basic Python knowledge for data processing or reporting automation 

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
