About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives within one of Asia's leading digital banks.
The role will focus on understanding and documenting transaction flows, reconciliation processes, and system interactions across the bank's payments ecosystem, including the FIS platform.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, engineers, architects, and vendors to analyze business processes, investigate data flows, support reconciliation-related initiatives, and contribute to migration and transformation programs.
This is a hands-on role requiring a combination of business analysis, technical investigation, and data analysis skills. The ideal candidate should be comfortable navigating databases, reviewing application behavior, analyzing transaction data, and translating technical findings into clear business requirements and process documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Process Analysis

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and operational processes.

Understand and document end-to-end transaction and reconciliation flows.

Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Facilitate discussions between business and technology stakeholders.

Produce business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and supporting documentation.
Reconciliation & Data Analysis
-
Analyze transaction and reconciliation data across multiple systems.
-
Investigate reconciliation breaks, exceptions, and data discrepancies.

Perform root cause analysis and work with technical teams to identify resolutions.

Validate data consistency across source systems and interfaces.
-
Support operational and regulatory reporting requirements.
System & Technical Analysis

Develop a deep understanding of application behavior, integrations, and data flows.

Analyze APIs, database structures, interfaces, and system interactions.

Reverse engineer business processes from existing systems where documentation is incomplete.

Support impact assessments and solution design discussions.
Migration & Transformation Support

Support data migration and platform transformation initiatives.

Analyze source and target system mappings.
-
Define data validation and reconciliation requirements for migration activities.

Support testing, validation, and business sign-off activities.
Stakeholder Management
-
Collaborate with product owners, business users, engineers, architects, and vendors.

Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
-
Present findings, recommendations, and analysis outcomes to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
Must Have

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst.

Strong understanding of system integration and data flows.

Hands-on experience working with SQL and databases.

Experience analyzing complex business processes and system interactions.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Experience working closely with engineering and delivery teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to operate independently in complex environments.
Preferred

Experience in banking or financial services.

Experience in payments, transaction processing, reconciliation, settlements, or core banking.

Experience supporting migration or transformation programs.

Working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data analysis.

Exposure to APIs, microservices, and cloud-based systems.

Experience performing data validation and reconciliation activities.
