Job Description 

We are seeking an accomplished and highly experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing project delivery and leading project teams to implement IT solutions that meet our clients’ strategic objectives. 

This role requires strong project delivery ownership, excellent stakeholder engagement, solid Agile delivery experience, and the ability to adapt across different project contexts. The ideal candidate should also be open to applying AI tools and modern ways of working to improve project planning, reporting, risk management, communication, and delivery efficiency. 

 

Role Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage IT projects from initiation through to successful completion, ensuring delivery within defined scope, timelines, and budget.  
  • Act as Scrum Master for multiple teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies and promoting the adoption of Agile best practices.  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clearly define project scope, objectives, deliverables, priorities, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with business goals.  
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across client, business, delivery, and technical teams.  
  • Drive effective stakeholder engagement through clear communication, expectation management, timely escalation, and proactive alignment.  
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and resource allocations.  
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identifying and addressing risks, issues, blockers, and delivery dependencies to ensure project success.  
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management.  
  • Provide regular project status updates, dashboards, and detailed reports to stakeholders and senior management.  
  • Ensure strict adherence to GFT’s project management methodologies, standards, governance, and best practices.  
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes, team collaboration, and delivery performance.  
  • Apply AI tools and techniques where appropriate to improve project management activities, such as planning, reporting, meeting summaries, risk analysis, documentation, communication, and productivity.  
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support different projects, clients, domains, or delivery models based on business and project needs.  
  • Support project transition, handover, or rotation when required to ensure continuity of delivery and effective knowledge transfer.  

 

Your Skills and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.  
  • Project Management Professional, PMP, or Certified ScrumMaster, CSM, certification is highly desirable.  
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in project management and Agile methodologies, ideally within the IT or banking industry.  
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and delivering high-quality results. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop project teams.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and client-side decision makers. 
  • Strong stakeholder management capability, including expectation management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and escalation handling.  
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.  
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent.  
  • Good understanding of Agile delivery models, Scrum practices, project governance, and delivery reporting.  
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing project priorities, client expectations, delivery models, and organizational needs.  
  • Openness to learning and applying AI tools to improve project management efficiency, documentation quality, communication, and decision support.  

 

Preferred Skills 

  • Extensive experience in digital banking or financial services projects.  
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and associated technologies.  
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.  
  • Banking domain knowledge is a strong plus.  
  • Experience managing distributed, cross-functional, or multi-vendor teams.  
  • Experience supporting project transitions, delivery recovery, or project rotation across different client engagements.
