Role Summary
We're looking for a Mobile Engineer (iOS plus Android) to work onsite within our Digital Bank. We're a small, but growing venture, with new and exciting problems to solve. We work in project-based sprints in a small mobile team, alongside the Product and Design teams.
As a Mobile Engineer, you'd be able to work on and solve some of the many interesting challenges we are facing, learn new ways of working, and build delightful high-quality mobile apps for our customers.You are responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS and Android devices. Your primary focus will be the development of iOS and Android applications and their integration with back-end services.
You will be working alongside Platform leads, other engineers, and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.
It’s a hands-on role and efficiency in Swift, Kotlin, and familiarity with reactive programming using Combine is preferred.

Key Activities
•    Design and build applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
•    Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
•    Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features.
•    Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
•    Write unit tests and integration test cases.
•    Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Our Ideal Candidate
•    Is proficient with Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, and Combine.
•    Is proficient with Kotlin, Fragments, and Compose.
•    Has 3+ years of professional iOS + Android experience, with at least 1 app in the App Store/Play Store.
•    Is familiar with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.
•    Has knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.
•    Has understanding of Apple’s design principles and human interface guidelines.
•    Gives attention to creating simple, understandable code; has the discipline to avoid over-engineered solutions. We try to keep dependencies to a minimum. Simplicity breeds robustness and speed.
•    Is familiar with continuous integration; Harness experience would be a bonus.
•    Has the ability to work as part of a team, taking input and guidance and happily conforming to the team’s preferred coding style.
•    Has proficient experience with Git for source control.
•    Has good English communication skills and a sense of humour.
Nice to have (Optional)
•    Experience with GraphQL using the Apollo framework.
•    Fintech/Banking experience.
