About the Role
The Event Manager is the driving force behind GFT’s event presence within the region. You will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and governance of all regional events, from large-scale trade shows and hyperscaler partner events to regional brand experiences and hosted activations. You bring structure, creativity, and accountability to everything you deliver, ensuring every event is executed to the highest standard while meeting internal compliance and approval requirements.
Working closely with the regional marketing head and the broader team, and aligning with global marketing standards, you will ensure GFT shows up consistently, professionally, and impactfully at every event across the region. This is an execution-focused role for someone who thrives on logistics, enjoys creating memorable brand moments, and knows how to navigate complex internal processes without losing momentum.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Event Planning & Execution
- Own the end-to-end planning and execution of all GFT events within the region, including trade shows, partner events, hosted experiences, roundtables, and sponsored activations.
- Lead all aspects of event logistics, including venue sourcing, vendor management, booth design, staffing, travel coordination, and on-site management.
- Manage relationships with regional external suppliers, agencies, and event organizers to ensure high-quality delivery within budget and on time.
- Develop and maintain a regional event calendar, ensuring alignment with regional marketing priorities.
- Support the execution of campaigns around regional and global partner and hyperscaler events relevant to the region.
- Brief and coordinate with internal teams, including the Marketing Program Manager, ABM Manager, Design, Content, and Digital teams, to ensure all event materials, collateral, and activations are on-brand and delivered on time.
- Oversee on-site execution, acting as the primary point of contact during events and managing any issues that arise in real time.
Internal Compliance & Event Approvals
- Own the end-to-end process for submitting regional events for internal compliance approval, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate before submission.
- Maintain a clear and proactive timeline for compliance submissions, factoring in internal review and approval lead times for each event.
- Work closely with regional Legal, Finance, and senior Marketing leadership to ensure all events meet internal governance requirements.
- Track the status of all regional event submissions and approvals, proactively following up to avoid delays that could impact delivery.
- Maintain organized records of all submitted, approved, and rejected event requests for audit and reporting purposes.
- Identify and flag compliance risks early, escalating to the appropriate stakeholders as needed.
Budget & Vendor Management
- Own and manage the regional events budget, tracking spend across all events and ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Negotiate contracts with regional vendors, venues, and suppliers to maximize value and minimize risk.
- Ensure all procurement and purchasing activities follow internal financial governance processes.
- Provide regular budget updates and post-event financial reconciliations to regional marketing leadership.
Reporting & Performance
- Deliver post-event reports with clear analysis, insights, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Stakeholder & Cross-functional Collaboration
- In liaison with the Marketing Program Manager, ensure regional sales and business development teams are fully briefed and equipped for events relevant to their markets.
Required Experience & Skills
- Excellent English proficiency, with outstanding written and spoken communication skills.
- 3–5 years of experience in event management, with proven experience running large-scale trade shows and events across the region.
- Strong track record of managing events end-to-end in a corporate or B2B environment.
- Experience managing internal compliance and approval processes, with a high level of attention to governance and documentation.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to run multiple complex events simultaneously across the region.
- Strong budget management experience, including vendor negotiation and financial reconciliation.
- Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across functions and seniority levels both regionally and globally.
- Calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions on-site.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of the regional events landscape, including key venues, suppliers, trade shows, and industry gatherings.

- All regional events are submitted for internal approval well ahead of deadlines, with zero compliance gaps.
