Role Summary
This is more than a teaching role — it’s a chance to leave a lasting mark on an organisation in the middle of a major transformation. GFT Vietnam is scaling fast, with over 150 professionals across Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi working with global financial institutions on cutting-edge technology programmes. We need a highly skilled English Trainer who can become a genuine partner to our people — someone who understands the pressure of high-stakes international delivery, adapts to a workforce that includes both office-based and remote team members, and brings energy and expertise to sessions that run across a broad daily window from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM. You will own the English capability agenda end-to-end: assessing where people are, designing programmes that meet them there, and driving measurable, visible improvement across the entire organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment & Raising Standards (Critical Responsibility)
- Re-assess the English proficiency of all employees using structured evaluation method
- Define clear proficiency benchmarks and progression frameworks
- Raise the company’s English standard by:
- Identifying capability gaps
- Setting measurable improvement targets
- Designing and deliver targeted English training solution
- Tracking progress and outcomes
- Partner with L&D and TA to align assessment insights with hiring and development strategies
- Learning Experience Design & Training Delivery
- Design structured learning pathways for different proficiency levels
- Conduct English classes across a flexible daily window to accommodate office-based, remote, and part-time team members across HCMC and Hanoi:
- Morning sessions from 7:30 AM, with availability across the full day through to 9:00 PM (sessions scheduled across the window; not all hours will be teaching time)
- Total weekly commitment: 40 hours per week (inclusive of teaching, preparation, assessment, and programme designs
- Deliver engaging lessons focused on:
- Business communication
- Speaking confidence
- Workplace English applications
- Create engaging learning activities such as:
- Workshops
- Speaking clubs
- Role-play simulations
- Recommend self-learning tools and resources
- English Capability Development & Engagement
- Foster a culture of continuous English learning across teams
- Collaborate with L&D and HR to align training with business needs
- Track learner progress and provide actionable feedback
- Working Model
- Full-time position based in HCMC, 40 hours per week — flexibly across a daily window of 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM
- Sessions are scheduled around learner availability — time is split across live or offline teaching, preparation, assessment, and programme development
- Combination of teaching, assessment, and program design
- Some general support of wider teams in organising activities
Required Experience
- Native English speaker (mandatory example: UK, Australian, US)
- English, Education, or related field
- Strong experience in corporate environments (business English training preferred)
- Proven track record in:
- Corporate English training / adult learning
- Designing practical, outcome-driven programs
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have: Candidates should hold relevant English teaching certifications, such as:
- TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
- CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
- TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) (Corporate training or Business English certification is a strong advantage) (Corporate training or Business English certification is a strong advantage)
