Role Summary 

We are seeking an Associate Accountant to join our APAC finance team in Ho Chi Minh City. This role provides day-to-day accounting support across our Singapore and Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand entities, working closely with the Senior Accounting Manager, APAC and regional finance colleagues. It is a strong opportunity for an early-career accountant to gain multi-country exposure across the full scope of finance operations , building a well-rounded foundation across each area.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Contractor Payments

• Process supplier and vendor invoices across the APAC entities, ensuring accuracy and timely posting.
• Support payments to contractors, including invoice verification and coordination with contractor/EOR providers where relevant.
• Reconcile AP sub-ledgers and follow up on discrepancies or outstanding items.

Treasury & Purchasing

• Assist with routine treasury tasks such as bank reconciliations, cash positioning support, and payment run preparation.
• Support the purchasing process, including PO tracking, vendor setup checks, and coordination with requestors and approvers.

Audit & Month-End Support

• Assist with month-end close activities for APAC entities, including processing intercompany invoices, posting accruals and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Support the statutory/external audit process by preparing requested schedules and liaising with the finance team on follow-up items.

Expenses

• Review and process employee expense claims across the covered countries, checking for policy compliance.
• Help maintain expense records and support reconciliations between expense systems and the general ledger.

Required Skills & Experience

• Fluent English (written and spoken); additional regional language skills are a plus.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or final-year student/recent graduate).
• 0–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience; exposure to a multinational or shared-services environment is a plus.
• Improvement mindset.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office package; experience with an ERP/accounting system (e.g. SAP) and Power BI would be a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and willingness to learn.
