Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer with 4–6 years of experience, specializing in Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will be responsible for building and managing modern, automated, cloud-native infrastructure and application pipelines for our banking clients. This role requires strong collaboration with product and development teams to deliver functionality in a repeatable and automated manner, as well as migrating legacy infrastructure into modular, scalable, and secure structures.
Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management: Build and manage automated, cloud-native infrastructure and application pipelines on AWS.

Tooling Development: Develop and codify shared tooling for repeatable build and deploy patterns across the organization.

Legacy Migration: Migrate legacy infrastructure and delivery pipelines to modern, modular AWS-based architectures.

Continuous Improvement: Review and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with product and development teams to deliver functionality in a repeatable, automated manner.

Operational Support: Participate in weekly prioritization, release, and change management meetings.

Monitoring & Reliability: Define and implement service level objectives (SLOs/SLIs) and ensure system observability on AWS.

On-call Rotation: Provide support for AWS-based infrastructure as part of an on-call schedule.

Tool Identification: Identify and recommend AWS-native tools and services that reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience

AWS Expertise: 4–6 years of hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation).

Automation & IaC: Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation preferred).

Architectural Design: Ability to design, document, and own AWS-native cloud architecture patterns.

Scalability & Security: Solid understanding of designing highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure AWS environments (including compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS).

Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).

Monitoring & Alerting: Experience implementing monitoring and alerting using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or similar tools.

Messaging Systems: Experience with Kafka or AWS-native equivalents (e.g., Kinesis, MSK).

Migration Experience: Proven experience migrating on-premise systems to AWS cloud.

Collaboration & Communication: Strong stakeholder management and ability to work in fast-paced delivery environments.
