What will you do?

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join a long-term project for a global financial institution in the banking sector. You will work closely with programmers and analysts, taking part in test planning, designing test cases and scenarios, executing manual and automated tests, and reporting results. Your responsibilities will also include improving test automation frameworks and tools.

Please note: this is a B2B contract position – we are not recruiting for a permanent employment role.

Candidates must be based in Kraków or Wrocław and be available to work from the client's office 2–3 days per week.

Your skills

• Knowledge of various testing techniques and the ability to use them in practice (at least 2-3 years of commercial experience)
• Including min. 2 years of experience in test automation and/or performance testing tools (experience in test automation is recommended)
• Basic programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle processes and the QA lifecycle and methodology
• Experience in every-day use of version control system (GIT)
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Desire to build and evolve automation and development skills
• Experience in creating test documentation and test reports
• Experience with JIRA and other defect tracking tools
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, objectivity, strong problem-solving skills
• Fluent English in speech and writing (frequent communication with English-speaking clients)

Nice to have

• Practical experience with TDD/BDD
• Understanding of CI/CD processes
• API testing experience
