What will you do?

 

Join a global Platform Engineering team responsible for delivering and maintaining an enterprise Kubernetes platform for internal customers worldwide. You will lead a local team in Poland, drive platform automation and lifecycle management, improve reliability and performance, and support the evolution from traditional DevOps practices to a mature Platform Engineering model within a large international banking environment.

 

Your tasks

 

  • Provide end-to-end platform engineering and lifecycle management for the Internal Kubernetes Platform
  • Build automation, APIs and platform operations solutions to manage infrastructure and service lifecycle
  • Improve reliability, quality and efficiency of platform and service upgrades
  • Monitor, measure and optimize system performance, availability and capacity
  • Create dashboards and visualizations to increase platform transparency
  • Develop self-healing solutions and automate operational processes
  • Support software development teams with platform engineering, architecture and operational guidance
  • Implement infrastructure changes during maintenance windows when required
  • Manage the monthly schedule and workload of the local engineering team
  • Collaborate with the Global Engineering Team Lead on planning and delivery activities
  • Implement infrastructure changes during maintenance windows, including approximately two weekends per month

 

Requirements

 

  • Hands-on experience with Linux, containers and Kubernetes in production environments
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes ecosystem components such as Istio, Cilium and CSI solutions
  • Experience in platform engineering, infrastructure automation and lifecycle management
  • Proficiency in Bash and programming with Python or Golang
  • Experience with Jenkins, Ansible and infrastructure orchestration tools
  • Experience with observability platforms such as Splunk and Datadog
  • Experience working with GitHub and software development lifecycle processes
  • Knowledge of infrastructure operations and enterprise platform management
  • ITIL awareness
  • Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Openness to work hybrid from our client's office (Kraków) 6 days a month
  • Availability to participate in planned maintenance activities outside standard business hours, including approximately two weekends per month

 

Nice to have

 

  • Experience working in a large-scale enterprise banking environment
  • Experience supporting multi-tenant Kubernetes platforms
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
  • Knowledge of Private Cloud platforms
