Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and the IT team to oversee the code releases.
• Cross and merge the barriers that exist between software development, testing, and operations teams.
• Keep existing networks in mind as they design, plan, and test.
• Automate processes with the right tools and scripting languages.
• Manage incidents and effectively communicate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role.
• Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and AWS.
• Strong experience with databases such as SQL, MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, PHP, Groovy, Bash.
• Experience with project management and workflow tools like Agile, Jira, Scrum/Kanban.
• Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.
• Knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Great attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of application development life cycle (ALC).
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IAC).
• Strong knowledge of configuration management.
• Strong knowledge of continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD).
• Experience with Backend as a Service (BaaS) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Elixir and headless CMS options.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
