Role Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers and the IT team to oversee the code releases.
- Cross and merge the barriers that exist between software development, testing, and operations teams.
- Keep existing networks in mind as they design, plan, and test.
- Automate processes with the right tools and scripting languages.
- Manage incidents and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role.
- Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and AWS.
- Strong experience with databases such as SQL, MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, PHP, Groovy, Bash.
- Experience with project management and workflow tools like Agile, Jira, Scrum/Kanban.
- Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.
- Knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of application development life cycle (ALC).
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IAC).
- Strong knowledge of configuration management.
- Strong knowledge of continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD).
- Experience with Backend as a Service (BaaS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Elixir and headless CMS options.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
