Role Summary 

We are looking for Solution Architect (GCP/AWS) to join the GFT APAC team and help build our rapidly expanding business while striving to create world-class digital banking, blockchain and Cloud solutions with our clients and partners. This position is ideally based in Hong Kong with international travel likely a requirement.

As a Solution Architect, you will work with industry-leading technology and business experts in the cloud, virtual banking, blockchain, and distributed ledger technology domains, as well as technical teams who are well versed in all matters related to agile methodologies and frameworks, technology delivery and the engineering of exceptional solutions. Daily, you’ll collaborate internationally with colleagues, clients, and partners throughout Asia (primarily Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia) and Europe (Poland and Spain).

Key Activities

• Provide GCP/AWS cloud technical expertise for POCs, drafting RFP responses, Solutions, SOW creation etc., in support of the overall sales lifecycle and consulting engagement process
• Architect, design and implement plans for deploying complex workloads on GCP/AWS
• Collaborate with technology and functional experts in an Agile project delivery model, understand business requirements, lead (drive, coach, and mentor) the technical team in technical decisions, and discuss and agree with different customer and partner teams on any open topic
• Operate and lead-from-the-front in a consultative fashion to drive technical discussions and decisions and help implement technology solutions to production environments
• Act as a technical pre-sales lead for Greater China (with a focus on the Hong Kong market initially)
• Continuously work closely with the technical teams, clients, and partners to achieve project success

Required Skills

• 10+ years experience working as a Solution Architect in a banking or FinTech sectors
• 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in designing and implementing GCP or AWS based solution architectures
• Experience in leading requirements gathering, analysis and solution development for GCP/AWS cloud-based solutions
• Experience in architecting GCP/AWS transformation solutions, especially in areas of Data Modernization, and Application Modernization
• Robust understanding of GCP/AWS Services, ideally key GCP/AWS certifications
• Experience in a consultative technical Sales/Pre-Sales Solution Architect role supporting revenue objectives with a proven track record of success
• Experience in managing and working with multiple technical teams
• Demonstrated knowledge of the infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, Databases, Security, Networking, and cloud-based delivery models
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
• Demonstrated ability to gain credibility and build relationships with all levels in an organization, from technical experts to senior executives
• Exposure to any banking domain knowledge is advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal use of English
• Cantonese Communication is a big plus (Mandarin an advantage)
