Regulatory and Compliance Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory and Compliance Analyst to join our client, which is a leading direct and digital bank of Canada. Hybrid Work 2-3 days work from client office in Downtown Toronto. Contract length is 6months to begin with.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian financial regulatory frameworks, including OSFI, FINTRAC, FCAC, and PIPEDA requirements.
- Experience supporting regulatory compliance in areas such as KYC/AML, transaction monitoring, risk-based customer due diligence, and sanctions screening.
- Proven ability to design and implement controls and processes to ensure adherence to OSFI B-10, B-20, and other risk management guidelines.
- Led initiatives aligned with Privacy Act and Consumer Protection Frameworks as outlined by FCAC.
- Collaborated with compliance and legal teams to assess regulatory impact on new digital banking products, ensuring regulatory readiness.
- Supported audits, regulatory reporting, and gap assessments in alignment with Canadian compliance standards and enterprise risk frameworks.
- Ensured ongoing compliance in digital onboarding, eKYC, open banking, and third-party data sharing in accordance with Canadian federal and provincial regulations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Business, Finance or Law;
- At least 3yrs of work experience in a financial services environment with exposure to Canadian regulatory compliance;
- Sound Knowledge of regulatory requirements and legislation, including OSFI, FCAC Guidelines. Ability to interpret and operationalize regulatory requirements.
- Good understanding of the Banking Compliance policies and procedures.
- Prioritize and manage own workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team and throughout the organization
- Critical thinking and analytical skills with a focus on problem solving and continuous improvement
- Meticulous attention to detail and very strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and ability to learn other programs
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Professional attitude and strong adherence to high ethical standards, ability to maintain confidentiality.
