Intermediate SQL Developer (1yr contract)

*This role does not have a visa sponsorship option; it also requires 1-2 days a week working from the office in Downtown Toronto** This is a 12 mnths contract role**

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop and maintain SQL databases to support business applications.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and triggers for data extraction and manipulation.
• Optimize existing queries to improve performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with data analysts and other developers to meet business needs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation of database processes and architectures.
• Guarantee data security, integrity and high availability.
• Perform data analysis and produce reports to support business intelligence efforts.

Here's What You Need:

• Degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
• Proven experience as a SQL Developer with minimum of 5 yrs of experinece in a similar position.
• Proficiency in SQL Server, PostgreSQL or other relational database systems.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
• Experience in performance optimization and query optimization.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools (e.g. SSIS, Talend).
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
