Account & Delivery Manager (m/w/d)

As Account & Delivery Manager, you will be driving efforts to expand our client base in Switzerland, operating out of the French or German part of Switzerland. You establish innovation and transformation delivery assets, and deliver consulting solutions that exceed clients’ expectations. You combine knowledge of financial services and entrepreneurial attitude to proactively identify and pursue business opportunities while elaborating value-creating solutions to turn them into profitable client assignments. You can rely on a solid international corporate with a team of 7.000 financial services experts and technologists with unparalleled knowhow and dedication, supporting you to grow and achieve your ambitious goals.


Your Role:

  • Generate new business engagements with existing or new clients
  • Strategically and operatively manage a given set of accounts ensuring successful and long-term relationships
  • Deliver and lead business and IT transformation projects, with focus on platform migrations, regulatory changes and digitalization in banking, capital markets and/or insurance
  • Advise clients on the base of a deep understanding of their key issues and targets. Elaborate and propose creative, effective and efficient solutions, aiming to exceed clients’ expectations
  • Establish selected “Swiss-based” delivery assets based on the capabilities available in the international competence centers and innovation labs of GFT
  • Work together with GFT delivery partners according to the respective collaboration models and ensuring the best possible solution for the client
  • Develop, manage and motivate strong, sustainable and high-performing consulting delivery teams
  • Support the executive board in Switzerland to implement strategic business development and delivery excellence initiatives

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, thereof at least 8 years as project manager, management consultant or entrepreneur
  • Established network of business relationships in the financial service industry in Switzerland, ideally already with current client engagement (e.g. as freelance)
  • Proven subject matter expertise in specific financial services areas, ideally in retail banking, private banking or insurance
  • Strong IT background with good knowledge of agile and/or DevOps delivery methodologies
  • Successful track-record in business development and client acquisition for a consultancy firm, service provider or as entrepreneur
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to create premium client presentation decks
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, able to solve complex problems with effective and efficient solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Readiness to travel within Switzerland and in neighboring countries
  • Knowledge of core banking platforms such as Avaloq, Finnova or Temenos is a strong plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in science, combination with an MBA is a strong plus
  • English on negotiation level combined with good conversational level in German and/or French is a must. Additionally Italian or Spanish are a plus
