Team

The Application Engineering Team is one of the delivery teams, responsible for working with the Cloud Engineers for taking a product through the whole SDLC. Our work is developed in a cloud native way following the best practices in every area.   

Role Summary 

We are building a CoE in the Application Engineering team of Thought Machine and Smart Contracts Specialists. You will be the first ones to join the team and you will be reporting into one of the Practice Leads. This will give you the opportunity to shape up the team of specialists as it grows over time. You will also be a mentor for the junior engineers.

Role Responsibilities

Please list some key responsibilities of the role (L5 and below suggested no more than 6 points)

• Recommend and follow the best practices when it comes to the Thought Machine Architecture or when developing smart contracts
• 2-3 days in the client’s office in Canary Wharf

Required Experience

Technical Skills:

Must Have:

• Experience working with Thought Machine Vault and developing smart contracts
• Deep understanding of Thought Machine Vault Architecture
• Experience working with Thought Machine testing frameworks
• Professional software development experience with Python and Java
• Experience working with Kafka and Streaming API
• Experience working with microservices architecture, design and development
• Strong hands-on experience in RESTful APIs design

Good to have:

• Working experience in Docker, Kubernetes
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD (Jenkins) and GIT

Behavioural Skills:

• Ability to work in a modern and agile organisation with a start-up mindset
• Ability to lead a dispersed team allocated to a variety of projects
• Sets clear goals and consistently delivers against them
