Lead Data Architect

 

This role will include, advanced modelling activities, significant change programmes across multiple business functions.

 

You will possess Senior Professional level knowledge and significant experience within the relevant Data discipline. This level of experience and industry awareness results in a deep understanding of industry trends, as well as the multi-functional organisational and technology challenges which impact their clients businesses.

Roles at this level will be required to lead on client projects and provide overall management to a Data team (c 5+). The projects bring a level of complexity and may involve contribution to new procedures within GFT frameworks. The level of discretion is, however, still governed by established practices, procedures and policies. Projects at this level will all be highly visible, and will impact on role-holders internal brand.

The nature of the Data work requires influencing skills at multiple levels within the client organisation as well as internally throughout the organisation. Roles at this level will often be the main contact to senior level clients and be the first escalation point for communications.


Lead on Data projects, managing work output, resources and timescales in order to meet client requirements.

Support the development of complex technical pre-sales pitch and lead simpler technical pre sales pitch process. Analyse clients needs, prepare proposals and support pre-sales activity.

Provide career mentoring in order to develop future talent.

Manage senior level contacts in the client business, act as the key point of contact on the project, lead on client presentations and meetings and be tasked with developing long term relationships for the benefit of the business.

Contribute to and support internal training programmes and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and development.

Identify and document any risks to the solution in view of the project scope and manage those proactively.

Provide timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders and to the client at project level. Act as a single point of contact for all project related information.

Coach and mentor employees towards their growth and development.

Develop, document, and communicate highly technical content and concepts and working knowledge of the application to all audiences. Develop prototype statistical analysis and modelling algorithms and apply these algorithms for data driven solutions to new problems.

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. In particular, a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organisational levels internally as needed

Ability to deal with complex challenges - Ability to identify problems and suggest mitigating and contingency actions

Understanding of the client’s incident, problem and release management policy and process
