Role Summary                                                                                                

GFT have many Partnerships, which have been categorised into; Strategic; Regional or Technology partnership tiers. For Strategic partnerships GFT’s aim is to align a dedicated Alliance Team who would be responsible for developing the Strategic Partnership Business plan and enabling this plan across the GFT organisation. They would be expected to drive partnership enablement activities across the Group and lead the coordination efforts to ensure that all GFT countries are able to engage with the partnership and foster local business development activities. GFT has made a substantial commitment to the current strategic partners by having a dedicated team and committing to develop a joint business plan that mutually benefits both parties, and which operates across GFT globally.

The Banking Partnerships Director role is required to join the existing Global Partner Team, which sits within the Global Business Development (GBD) divisional unit and will be responsible for driving opportunities within the dedicated strategic Global Core Banking Platform partners such as Thought Machine and Mambu, amongst others (to be defined). This team will own the partner relationships and drive revenue through the GFT countries in collaboration with the partners in the; Sell-To; Sell-Through; Sell-With motions, as defined in the Strategic Partnership Business Plan.


The role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a team in its early stages of growth to help to shape the operation and successful growth of these established partnerships and be part of an important revenue engine for GFT.

The role carries a bonus structure based on the commercial success of the partnership.


The role reports to the GBD Divisional Head and will ideally be based in the UK but will have Global coverage. Other European locations with frequent travel to the UK may also be possible.


Your principal activities will include:

  • Development & ownership of Joint Strategic Partner Business Plans & Partnership Agreements with each strategic Core Banking Partner and leading Quarterly Business Reviews with a view to increasing joint revenue and to maintain GFT’s position as a key provider to the Partner.
  • Identify partner programmes which would further develop the GFT channel partnership with the Partner; i.e., Reseller agreements, joint assets etc.
  • Build and further develop our key relationships with the Partner across all relevant GFT locations, in particular having a wide and deep relationship with the key partner and sales personnel, including our key sponsors.
  • Work closely with the wider GFT organisation across all Legal Entities to ensure that the relevant GFT teams are connected with the local Partner teams and that activities are aligned with the Strategic Partners’ Business Plans. Responsibilities include working closely with local sales and delivery teams to ensure that we meet our partner revenue targets across industry segments.
  • Promote GFT within Partner through having a thorough understanding of GFT’s offerings and customer success stories



  • Work closely with our L&D teams and Partner Centre of Excellence leads in each GFT location to ensure that our capability and capacity in respect to the partner matches expected pipeline and joint growth aspirations, as defined in Joint Business Plan.  
  • Work closely with our Delivery Management teams and Customer Engineers to ensure that the projects are visible within Partners’ organisation, with a regular, structured review process in place.
  • Work closely with Solutions Management function to ensure the creation and utilisation of joint partner assets.
  • Analyse central reports including the GBD KPIs to provide strategic business updates within GFT and to steer the overall direction of our Partner Business Plan.
  • Liaise with GFT and Partner teams to solve issues, communicate needs and create synergy.



Required Skills & Experince:

  • High levels of strategic, commercial and entrepreneurial skill
  • An energetic, self-starter attitude with the ability to work with limited oversight and a passion for technology
  • Fundamental project management and planning skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to oversee multiple workstreams simultaneously for multiple partners and to ensure that meeting minutes are kept and that GFT action owners deliver to agreed timelines.
  • Excellent communicaiton skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels in both GFT & the Partner organisations.
  • Ability to present complex information to partners and colleagues in a clear and appealing manner and with credibility, to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of prior partnership management in a technology or consulting environment
  • Experience of, or exposure to, sales


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience of working with channel partners, systems integrators and third party developers to deliver successful solutions.
  • Experience of working in a Professional Services company
  • Experience with, or strong knowledge of, Digital Banking (in Neo banking, retail & commercial banking)
  • Knowledge of cloud-native core banking providers
  • Client engagement leadership experience would be beneficial
