Delivery Manager

As a Delivery Manager, you will be driving efforts to ensure delivery excellence across a business area and to grow and expand our client base. You will be establishing innovation and transformation of delivery assets and deliver software engineering solutions that exceed clients’ expectations. You’ll be delivering end to end complex, multi-layer solutions, throughout all stages of software delivery life cycle. You’ll combine knowledge of financial services and entrepreneurial attitude to proactively identify and pursue business opportunities while elaborating value-creating solutions to turn them into profitable client assignments. Your Role:

• Deliver and lead business and IT transformation projects, with focus on platform migrations, cloud journeys, regulatory changes and digitalization in banking, capital markets and/or insurance
• Be responsible for end to end delivery of complex projects or programs in fixed-price or time and material manner.
• Strategically and operatively manage a given set of accounts ensuring successful and long-term relationships
• Oversee a team of business & technical stakeholders and functional & technical leads to facilitate the successful completion of project deliverables
• Advise clients on the base of a deep understanding of their key issues and targets.
• Elaborate and propose creative, effective and efficient solutions, aiming to exceed clients’ expectations
• Maintain the client delivery relationship across portfolio of projects
• Establish selected delivery assets based on the capabilities available in the international competence centers and innovation labs of GFT
• Work together with GFT delivery partners according to the respective collaboration models and ensuring the best possible solution for the client
• Develop, lead and motivate strong, sustainable and high-performing consulting delivery teams
• Support the executive board in implementing strategic business development and delivery excellence initiatives

Your Qualifications:

• 7+ years commercial Project or Programme Management experience in software delivery environment
• Experience in end to end delivery of complex projects and programmes in both fixed price and time and material manner
• Experience in managing at a higher level such as with the client, third party vendors, executive steering committees, board of directors, etc.
• Previous leadership experience in large-scale IT project/program management
• Proven subject matter expertise in specific financial services areas, ideally in retail banking, private banking or insurance would be a significant advantage
• Strong IT background with good knowledge of agile and/or DevOps delivery methodologies
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, able to solve complex problems with effective and efficient solutions
• Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with and influence internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to make own decisions – high level of autonomy
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills both in English
• Professional approach to work, strong sense of responsibility and ownership
